Getting your Photos Ready for Upload
Aerial Stock Media Guidelines
Drone by Nature only accepts digital submissions of images.
Accurate focus, a well-maintained camera lens, optimal lighting conditions, and appropriate camera settings are essential requirements. In cases where the image lacks perfect sharpness or exhibits some noise, consider downsizing the image to mitigate potential technical issues.
Please refrain from submitting redundant shots if one stands out as your favourite. Handle editing independently and minimize batch sizes for similar subjects. Avoid submitting identical images with slight variations in angle.
Drone by Nature welcomes photos in the following formats:
- ○ JPG
- ○ TIFF
- ○ PNG
For PNG files, please ensure they have transparent backgrounds. If not, we recommend re-saving your files in JPG format.
The file should possess a minimum resolution of 2 megapixels (2 million pixels) and a maximum of 170 megapixels. Calculate the pixel count by multiplying the width by the height (e.g., a photo with dimensions 1700×1300 equals 2.21 million pixels). Note that MP signifies the pixel count, while MB indicates the file size. Ensure the minimum dimensions are at least 1200×1200. Additionally, ensure that photos are correctly exposed and in focus.
Drone by Nature recommends to embed either the sRGB or Adobe RGB (1998) colour space in all digital files. We strongly advise against using CMYK files or files with varying resolutions. When submitting black and white images, ensure they are desaturated RGB files and avoid using grayscale.
Ensure that your file names exclude any special characters or accents. This includes, but is not limited to, symbols such as &, å, ñ, é, ß, ®, ©, §, ç, ä, ø, ü, quote marks (“ ” or ‘ ’), and commas (,). Additionally, spaces and dashes are not permitted.
In order to offer media files for sale at Drone by Nature, it is essential to consent to all the terms specified in our Terms of Use. Take the time to carefully read and understand your rights and responsibilities before moving forward.
As the copyright owner, it is crucial that you have exclusive rights to any image you wish to license on Drone by Nature. Generally, if you created the photos, you possess the copyright and are authorized to upload and promote your work. If there is any uncertainty regarding your status as the legal copyright holder of a clip, it is advisable to refrain from uploading it.
